From August 6th to 8th, 2020, we had the privilege of participating in The 32nd TOY EDU CHINA, held at Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Bao’an New Hall). This major industry event, co-hosted by Guangdong Toy Association, Guangzhou Li Tong Messe Frankfurt, and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., brought together leading brands, emerging trends, and groundbreaking innovations in the toy and education product sector.

A Global Gathering of Industry Leaders

The exhibition attracted over 1,300 exhibitors from eight countries and regions, including Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Macau, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United States. Spanning a massive 140,000 square meters, the event showcased a diverse range of products, from toys and educational tools to strollers, baby products, and IP licensing & derivatives.
One of the most exciting aspects of the expo was the debut of thousands of new products, demonstrating cutting-edge innovation in interactive learning, smart toys, and digital education solutions.

Key Highlights from TOY EDU CHINA 2020

1. E-commerce & Cross-border Business in Focus

As Shenzhen is a key hub for e-commerce and cross-border trade, the exhibition emphasized the integration of online retail with the toy industry. The organizers facilitated connections between e-commerce platforms, cross-border sellers, and toy manufacturers, driving new opportunities for global expansion.

2. IP Licensing Takes Center Stage

For the first time, the popular IP licensing exhibition became an independent show within the event. More than 100 licensors and agents participated, featuring well-known IPs such as:
● Super Wings
● Boonie Bears
● Ali the Fox
● B.Duck
This provided a valuable platform for businesses to explore licensing partnerships and co-branding opportunities.

3. Insightful Industry Forums & Networking Events

Several high-profile conferences and networking events were held, including:
◆ Tmall Toy Industry Merchant Matchmaking Event – Connecting toy brands with leading Tmall sellers.
◆ China-ASEAN Cross-border E-commerce & Toy Industry Summit – Exploring trade opportunities in the ASEAN region.
◆ Cultural & Tourism Industry x IP Licensing Seminar – Discussing the role of IP in tourism and baby & toy industries.
